One of the most important house building stage is foundation waterproofing. Nobody wants to live in dampness and keep fighting the occurring mould, so it is important to take waterproofing very responsibly, because after having built the house, it will be very wasteful to do it, and sometimes impossible.
This is the most common product for foundation protection from telluric moisture. It can be of two types: glued or fusion-bonded. They mount the glued foundation waterproofing with bitumen mastic that is heated up for better adhesion, they apply it to foundation walls and to waterproofing, then they glue, press and flatten it. Fusion-bonded waterproofing contains on web surface specific mastic that is being melted with burner and then is being glued to the foundation.
Foundation membrane waterproofing
Another popular product for foundation waterproofing. For waterproofing providing, the mastic with bitum is used. It has a perfect adhesion with concrete and is easily applied with a roller or a brush. As a rule, membrane waterproofing that is being applied cold can resist a low water pressure, this is why it is used at lower subterranean water level.
Foundation waterproofing with liquid rubber
This is one of the most effective foundation protection method that includes rubber-bitumen emulsion and different accelerating agents. It is a less popular foundation waterproofing product because of its expensiveness and impossibility to conduct foundation waterproofing without special equipment application. Nevertheless, thanks to its unique characteristics, foundation waterproofing with liquid rubber becomes more popular year after year.
Penetrant foundation waterproofing
Penetrant waterproofing is a unique makeup in its own way, that penetrate the concrete depth through restrictors and form waterproof grains in it. So that the concrete itself becomes a waterproofing.
These grains need water for growing because when humidity interacting with penetrant makeups, grains start to grow more intensively. So if you see that humidity penetrates the concrete depth it will be enough to apply this makeup on the inside and the foundation will become completely waterproof.
Penetrant makeups are easy to apply with brush. For this kind of work the minimum knowledge will be enough and the whole process similar to painting walls.
The disadvantage of this product is its cost, but taking into account the application easiness, the time spent for work, low labor cost, penetrant makeups can be regarded as worthful competitors for other foundation waterproofing products.
